x a few words in history
Parting with Web-a-holic.Net was actually a lot harder than I expected it to be. I loved this domain very much and to close it after 3 years is sad. *tears and running nose - wipe wipe* I remember the first layout I had ever made for this domain. It was Scooby Doo and man, it was good. It was better than the next few that appeared after that, which were my mad scientist experiment days. Muahaha. Well, compared to my layouts now, it looks like something I would have done with my feet and half my brain. However, I still love it. My favorite thing about this domain is that I was able to grow as a designer, as an artist and as a person. I was able to meet alot of people on the net and I was able to express my random urges of creativity. Starting with Paint Shop Pro 7.0, I was hooked and I couldn't work any other graphic program for a good chunk of my Web-a-holic.Net times. However, I remember making my Dirty Dancing - orange layout. I finally decided to play around with Photoshop 7.0 and later, textures. This is when my designs started to look more... artsy. With textures and Photoshop, I was able to branch out into different things and tinkle and play with things that Paint Shop didn't allow me to do. My favorite layout ever would be A Moment Like This feat. Kelly Clarkson.
The reason why I loved this layout is because it was a good blend of colors, brushes, brush playing, tech-digi things, pictures and animations. I had the funkiest animation of Kelly's winning song on American Idol in a small TV. Cute cute! I must say so myself. Anyway, I also recieved a number of awards for my domain, including an award from Golden Web Awards, which I remember as very surprising and unexpected. I also love comments for my blogs more than anything, even guestbook signs and tag board stuff. Reason why? Because I love feedback on my life and it makes me feel like my work is not wasted. My ultimate comment record is 49 comments in 5-6 days. So close to 50!!! I hope to beat that one day. Another thing I was always cherish with this site is how much I would put into it. I remember sitting in front of the computer for 8 hours on end and just working on the site and stuff. I think I got scooliosis from sitting down in fronr of the computer everyday and stuff. Yep. I may have left this domain, but I know I'll always be a true web-a-holic at heart.
x behind the name
I chose it because I was - am - addicted to the web. I use the internet every single chance I get. I got -a-holic from alcoholic. So, there.
x excuses
I always wanted a domain. When i asked for one, my dad bought me one. Besides, I have lots of sites that I want to make and having a domain would help me.
