Injustice has befallen on blood-stain field, and this is my one last battle cry:
I had been asked to make a website for the upcoming Queen's University AMS Executive Elections. I had slaved for 3 days straight, neglecting important work and other social arragements. And as my thank you, on my final moment, the-one-with-the-whip or "The Pusher" as she likes to call it, tells me that I'm replaced. And the reason: I was stressed.

FUCK THAT.

This is my story about what goes behind a university student government election...

Hello Team WCW and Meghan Teuber,
I hope that every one of you get to read this:

Firstly, I heard you launched the website already. Well, your splash page confused me. I use Firefox, a browser that most people use, and it displays a white box of nothingness. Bravo. Love it.

Secondly, to reply your email: you're welcome. Sorry for the late reply, I had other personal and website business to attend to.

But with whole-hearted sincerity, and I mean no offence, but:
Please give me 3 days of my life back which I have sacrificed instead of doing pressing assignments, looking at houses with my house mates and other social arrangements.

Making a website isn't easy, especially when I had to carry most of the weight on my shoulders for this, and I did volunteer to do it. Furthermore, my greatest confusion is that at the beginning, Meghan Teuber said we had full freedom on the website design and that colors are Purple/Yellow. All she wanted was links and pages. However, not ONLY did she fail to send us the fully typed instructions for the pages like she promised to the next day, but she never did until I had to ask her several times, I believe. So what I don't understand is why she needed to make a totally new website? What was so overtly wrong with it that she had to make a totally new website, and not let us improve with it. You said it was because I was stressed. Well then, I just hope you told me this a lot earlier. For instance, when our website wasn't already basically finished. Your reason to me was obscure, unfitting and as I see it: fake.

If she wanted a cool new flash thing on the opening page with "Are You Ready For It" whipping across and around the page like crazy, why not have that, but keep the current layout that's taken so much time and effort... and not let our work be in vain.

To the new webmaster, Mr./Ms. Friend of Meghan Teuber, good luck. I hope you do a better job than the ACH/RWS. And that your friends won't abandon you.

Not that it is your business, but I'm still supporting because of Yanique, and what WCW should stand for: diversity, activism, compassion and care. But seriously, this WCW campaigning "team" has no regard for the time and efforts that other "little people" have put into this grueling campaign. Thank you very much for throwing my time, my work and me aside. Am I ready for it? No I wasn't ready at all. I'll be sure to keep your true colors subdued for now.

Finally, I really do hope that WCW wins, but that Meghan Teuber does not get an immediate job in the AMS, because what she has shown to me, and to surely everyone, is that she is a coward. If you are not convinced, let me enlighten you. I use the word coward because due to her faulty instructions (or lack of) for the website, the only way she finds fit to deal with her problem is to abase one's hard work through the most painful way, cutting them off and replacing them. If this is how she treats us, imagine if she had the whole university to her disposal. Do you think that a website will change the course of an election? Do you think that one look at a website layout will be a voter's ultimate decision? No. It is the people. In front and behind the curtains. What really matters is what they stand for, what they believe in and how they hold it up. I only hope that one day you will follow what you are making your new web designer write in his/her pages, Meghan Teuber. Also, I saw you just today, and you did not even come up to apologize to my face. Are you ashamed? Isn't it my dignity at peril here? Well, not only do I not want it anymore, but I now I also do not think that you would have meant it anyway. So don't bother. All I ask is that you never ever treat anyone else like you have treated Jenna and I.

If you find that I have no reason to be mad, delete this message and tell me so and give me a reason. But if not, accept my sincere letter and try to stop and think. Victory is not stepping over people to get to the destination, but it's going at it together.

And I know I may be sounding horribly unprofessional and like an over-the-top drama queen. I mean not to, but I just felt it was absolutely necessary to voice my opinion.

P.S.
Mr./Ms. Friend of Meghan Teuber/Webmaster #2: If you want to use Jay Hanschell's pictures. You must include a watermark/print with his name on every page! This is an order than he told me personally. It's only fair after he had given up his time and artistic talent for this. If you want to take it out: pay him. I see that this was not done on the posters, and it is disgusting. That is a violation of all artistic merit, and if you had any respect, you would kindly watermark his name on the pictures used on the banner or somewhere visible on every page.

Peace,
